1. Acceptance of Terms
By visiting the website, downloading, installing, or using the Clipptabs browser extension (the "Service"), provided by Clipptabs ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use or install the Service.
2. Description of Service
Clipptabs is a browser extension and digital productivity tool designed to replace the standard browser new-tab page with a customizable workspace for managing shortcuts, folders, bookmarks, and visual layout preferences. The Service includes both a free tier and premium features ("Clipptabs Pro").
3. Accounts & Security
You may use core parts of the Service locally without creating an account. If you choose to register an account for cloud synchronization or purchase a Pro license, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities occurring under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code from the extension beyond rights granted by applicable open-source licenses.
- Use the Service to transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on our backend servers, APIs, or database infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or rent the Pro license or lifetime license to unauthorized third parties without written authorization.
5. Subscriptions, Lifetime Purchases & Billing
Merchant of Record (Paddle): Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"). Paddle provides customer service inquiries, handles billing, and manages sales taxes/VAT.
Subscription Billing: Monthly ($3.49/month) and Yearly ($26.99/year) plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You authorize Paddle to charge your chosen payment method for recurring fees.
Lifetime License: The Lifetime plan ($49.99, or regional equivalents) is a single, non-recurring purchase granting perpetual access to Clipptabs Pro features.
6. Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation: You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time via your account settings or through the link provided in your Paddle receipt. Your Pro access will remain active until the conclusion of your current billing period.
Refunds: Refund requests are governed by our separate Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software code, branding, logos, graphics, and interface designs, are owned by Clipptabs or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
8. User Content
You retain all ownership rights in the data, links, titles, and notes you save in Clipptabs. You grant us only the limited technical license required to store and synchronize this content across your devices.
9. Changes & Service Availability
We strive to ensure continuous availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at our discretion.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL Clipptabs BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Clipptabs, its officers, and contributors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
